Cookie and consent information
The locale preference cookie and the consent requirements for future advertising pages.
Functional locale cookie
pt_locale stores the locale code selected by the user. It is a first-party functional preference with a maximum lifetime of one year. It never contains a generated password.
Local storage
The same locale code is stored in browser local storage so that client-side language switching remains consistent. No password or generator configuration is persisted there.
Advertising consent
Advertising is disabled by default. If it is enabled on eligible guide pages, consent-dependent scripts wait for an explicit consent signal. A Google-certified CMP is required for relevant EEA, UK, and Swiss traffic.
Managing the preference
Users can change the locale by selecting another language or clear the preference through browser site-data controls.
